Tee-hee Tuesday - Women Drivers?

Today on 'tee-hee' Tuesday I want to share one of my favourite jokes. Now - before you all get on your high horses - I know I shouldn't make fun of my fellow women drivers... After all, I've had a driving licence since I was 18 and got my first car at 22...twenty years ago! I was just a slip of a girl, working in Luxembourg at the time. And in the Grand Duchy it was all the rage to have your date of birth (backwards, bien sûr) as your number plate. Not so sure I would want to advertise how old I am these days! ;)

Anno 1995

Nevertheless this joke gives me a good 'tee-hee' every time. For me, it's all in the punchline...

Okay, that warrants a story. :) My mother pulled up to the bank's drive thru. She took the container out of the thingy to put her check into it...and dropped it on the ground. She opened the door (hitting it on a cement post), realized the door would only open 4 inches, closed the door, pulled forward so she could get out and pick up the container. AND RAN OVER THE CONTAINER. Fifty thousand little plastic pieces all over the drive thru lane. She drove to a parking space, went inside to cash her check and EVERYONE was staring at her. The bank manager came out, stared at her and mom said, "Um. I ran over your container." The woman glared at her and said, "I know." Mom's like "Do you want me to pay for that?" The woman said, "It's ok, we have another one.... But if we need you, we know where to find you."

Dun dun dun! rofl

Ha ha, Elisa, that's a great one! Your Mum must have been so embarrassed, poor thing!

Did you know that the only drive-through places we have here in Denmark are MacDonalds? Would look a bit funny with a drive-through lane for bikes... ;D

lol. It would indeed! Although, in college my friends and I would pretend we were in a car to go through the drive thru.... :/ (I'm NOT weird!)

Anyway, I'm coming to let you know I'm passing on an award to you because you're funny, and sweet and beautiful and I wanna be you when I grow up.

That said, I'm a clod and you'll have to visit my blog to steal the award pic. :/ The "rules" are there also, but I'll make them opitonal for you in view of your mindnumbing awesomeness. :D

Diane and Elisa - thanks for the laughs! Shortly after learning to drive, I dropped BOTH of my coins at the toll plaza and had to jump out of the car and retrieve them (since I didn't have extras). More recently, I dropped the bank canister but LUCKILY I didn't run over it. :)
We have "drive-thrus" everywhere but I didn't appreciate them until I had three children in car seats.
